As an Industrial Automation Programmer, you will work within the Industrial Automation department from our offices in Echt or Herentals (Belgium). You will be part of internal projects or can be deployed at one of our customers. You are involved in programming installations, machines or parts thereof and you deliver your work complete with control documents. You have regular consultation with the lead engineer and/or project leader regarding planning and progress. You are also responsible for supervising junior programmers.

  • Coordination and consultation with the lead engineer and/or project leader regarding planning and progress
  • Responsible for mentoring junior programmers

Requirements

  • A higher vocational education degree in the field of automation and/or control technology
  • Knowledge of factory organisations or mechanical engineering, safety and government regulations
  • Knowledge of various relevant drive technology systems and industrial fieldbus systems is an advantage
  • Reading electrical engineering hardware schematics and/or P&IDs
  • Good command of software packages in word processing, spreadsheets, databases and planning knowledge of PLC control and SCADA systems (e.g. Siemens S7 / TIA Portal / PCS7 / Beckhoff / Allen Bradley / WinCC)
  • Experience in testing and commissioning control systems at (end) customers' premises
  • Good command of the Dutch language and proficient in English and/or German, both verbal and written.
