Our client is a dynamic and entrepreneurial business group within a large multinational and has experienced very strong growth since its inception in 2000. The specialty chemicals market is mainly characterised by difficult to handle, expensive and special chemicals where delivering high quality is very important. In addition, the Business Unit Specialty Chemicals is trying to focus more and more on high-tech logistics services for these fine chemicals.

What will you do?

The warehouse operative works positively on the planned planning. Safety and quality are his priority. The warehouse operative works according to internal orders and puts everything ready at the requested locations correctly and on time. Loading and unloading lorries/containers is part of his/her range of tasks.

  • Request planning from Supervisor
  • Control and supervision of rolling stock
  • Correctly completing the rolling stock checklist
  • Controlling/monitoring of order and cleanliness in the workshop and terminal
  • Working according to safety procedures
  • Complete and deliver daily report
  • Have knowledge of the operational work instructions
  • Taking loading and unloading orders from driver.
  • Loading and unloading material according to order and work instructions.
  • Always check goods for damage and report non-conformities to Supervisor + note down on order.
  • Additional work carried out ALWAYS has to be noted on the order: reason, (packaging) materials used and duration.
  • If there are no more tasks to be performed, report this to the Supervisor.

Who are you?

  • The warehouse operative performs his/her duties in a professional and independent manner.
  • The warehouse operative works in close cooperation with Supervisor and is responsible for the execution of orders
  • The warehouse operative reports shortcomings to the Supervisor.
  • You are in possession of a valid forklift licence.

Social skills

  • Oral and written communication skills in Dutch, English or German.
  • Great commitment, flexibility
  • Being able to work well with others.
  • Identifying direct and indirect problems that hamper operation.
