Asbestos removal contractor.

As an asbestos removal specialist, you will help to safely remove materials containing asbestos. You will work in accordance with the applicable safety regulations and, together with your colleagues, ensure that the work is carried out properly and safely.

Your duties will include:

• Removal of materials containing asbestos.
• Setting up and clearing the workstation.
• Working in accordance with safety procedures and remediation plans.
• Use of personal protective equipment.
• Packaging and disposal of materials in accordance with the regulations.
• Ensuring the workspace is clean and safe upon handover.
• Working alongside colleagues, the foreman or the DTA officer on site.
• Identifying unsafe situations and taking immediate action.

You work meticulously and in accordance with the agreed procedures. In this line of work, rushing is hardly an option: quality and safety always come first.

You are someone who works safely and accurately. You understand that asbestos removal involves a sense of responsibility and that rules are in place to protect yourself, your colleagues and the surrounding area.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience as an asbestos removal specialist, or is keen to pursue a career in this field.
• Ideally, the candidate should have DAV-1 or DAV-2.
• In possession of VCA, or is willing to achieve this through us.
• Is able to cope with physical work and has no problem working in protective clothing.
• Works safely, neatly and with concentration.
• Is able to work well with colleagues on site.
• Is reliable and honours its commitments.
• Holds a Category B driving licence, or is willing to travel with colleagues.
