Are you a bricklayer who takes pride in neat workmanship, good brickwork and tidy joints? We are looking for bricklayers for various clients in the construction industry.

Through Valento Jobs, you can connect with excellent construction companies in Limburg. These include regional contractors, family-run businesses, medium-sized construction firms, renovation companies and larger construction organisations with a wide range of projects. As we have an extensive network within the construction sector, we’ll work with you to find the workplace that best suits your experience, skills and working style.

Whether you have experience with new-build projects, renovations, extensions, refurbishments, clean-finish brickwork, rough-finish brickwork or repair work: we’d be happy to discuss the best next step with you.

At Valento Jobs, we don’t just look at what’s on paper. Above all, we look at what you can do with your hands. Because good bricklaying is characterised by craftsmanship, experience, a feel for proportions and an eye for detail.

What will you do?

As a bricklayer, you’ll be involved in various construction projects. These include residential building, non-residential building, renovation, extensions, refurbishment and maintenance. You’ll ensure that walls, façades, internal partitions and other brickwork structures are built to be sturdy, neat and in accordance with the plans.

Your duties may vary from project to project. Sometimes you’ll be working on exposed brickwork, where the end result is immediately visible. At other times, you’ll be carrying out rough brickwork, repair work, renovation work or building up walls and façades. You may also be involved in setting up formwork, marking out dimensions and preparing the work.

You will work to drawings or instructions from the foreman or site manager. In doing so, you will pay attention to the bond, course height, ensuring the work is level, and the correct use of materials. You know that brickwork must not only be sturdy, but must also look neat.

Depending on your experience and the client, your duties may include, amongst other things:

  • Carrying out bricklaying work on new-build, renovation and refurbishment projects.
  • Creating clean and rough brickwork.
  • Bricklaying of façades, internal walls, partition walls and extensions.
  • Carrying out repair work and renovation bricklaying.
  • Positioning profiles, marking out dimensions and checking the layer thickness.
  • Work in accordance with construction drawings, work instructions or instructions from the foreman or site manager.
  • Preparing and handling mortar, bricks, blocks and other materials.
  • Check that the work is level, square and laid in the correct bond.
  • Assisting with jointing, repairs or preparatory work.
  • Ensuring a tidy and safe workplace.
  • Working alongside colleagues, foremen, site managers and other tradespeople.
  • Contributing ideas for practical solutions on the building site.

So you’re not just stacking bricks. You make sure the brickwork is done properly, is sturdy and is finished to a high standard.

Who are you?

You’re a skilled tradesperson who knows what good brickwork looks like. You enjoy working with your hands, have a keen eye for measurements and take pride in ensuring your work looks neat and tidy. You know what it’s like on a building site and aren’t afraid to get stuck in.

You don’t necessarily need to have all the relevant qualifications. We consider experience, commitment and craftsmanship to be just as important. Perhaps you’ve been working as a bricklayer for years. Perhaps you have a background in structural work, renovation, façade construction or general building work, and you’d like to get back to work on exciting projects in the region.

What matters is that you work neatly, keep to your commitments and fit in well with the team. You can work independently, but you also interact easily with colleagues, foremen and site managers. You don’t need to be one for grand statements; as long as your work speaks for itself.

For example, you might recognise yourself in the following:

  • You have experience as a bricklayer, labourer, structural work assistant or in a similar role.
  • You have experience in clean bricklaying, rough bricklaying, renovation bricklaying or repair work.
  • You can read architectural drawings or are willing to learn how to do so.
  • You have an eye for the overall look, layering, proportions and finish.
  • You work neatly, safely and as agreed.
  • You have a practical mindset and contribute ideas on site.
  • You can work independently, but you also work well as part of a team.
  • You are reliable, flexible and keep your word.
  • You should ideally hold a VCA certificate, or be willing to obtain one.
  • A Category B driving licence and your own transport would be an advantage.
  • You feel at home in the construction industry and speak the language of the trade.

Whether your main strengths lie in clean bricklaying, rough bricklaying, renovation, repair work or all-round structural work: we’ll work with you to find where your skills are best utilised.
