Are you a plasterer who takes pride in meticulous work, a neat finish and walls or ceilings that simply look great? We are looking for plasterers to work for various clients in the construction industry.

Through Valento Jobs, you’ll be put in touch with excellent construction firms, renovation companies, finishing contractors and specialist plastering firms in Limburg. As we have an extensive network within the construction industry, we’ll work with you to find the workplace that best suits your experience, skills and working style.

Whether you have experience with traditional plastering, smooth plasterwork, decorative plaster, renovation work, new-build projects, maintenance or finishing works: we’d be happy to discuss the best next step with you.

At Valento Jobs, we don’t just look at what’s on paper. Above all, we look at what you can do with your hands. Because good plastering work is characterised by craftsmanship, preparation, a feel for materials and an eye for detail.

What will you do?

As a plasterer, you’ll be involved in various projects within the construction, renovation and finishing sectors. This includes plastering walls and ceilings in houses, flats, commercial premises, schools, care homes and other buildings.

Your tasks may vary from project to project. One day you might be working on smooth plasterwork in a new-build home. The next, you might be carrying out renovation work, repairs, preparing surfaces for painting, applying decorative plaster or preparing substrates. You know that good piecework starts with thorough preparation.

You assess the substrate, apply primer or bonding coats, ensure corners and mouldings are neatly finished, and make sure walls and ceilings are finished to a high standard. In doing so, you pay attention to flatness, corners, joints, drying time and the end result. You understand that the finish makes all the difference.

Depending on your experience and the client, your duties may include, amongst other things:

  • Carrying out plastering work on new-build, renovation, maintenance and finishing projects.
  • Plastering walls and ceilings.
  • Applying smooth plaster, roughcast, decorative plaster or other finishing coats.
  • Preparing and assessing substrates.
  • Application of primer, bonding layers, profiles and corner protection.
  • Levelling, repairing and finishing walls and ceilings.
  • Repairing cracks, damage or old plasterwork.
  • Preparing surfaces for painting or wallpapering.
  • Working with hand tools, machinery and plastering materials.
  • Check that the work has been carried out evenly, neatly and in accordance with the agreement.
  • Work in accordance with the schedule, work instructions or directions from the foreman or site manager.
  • Ensuring a tidy and safe workplace.
  • Working with colleagues, site managers, contractors and other tradespeople.
  • Helping to come up with practical solutions on site.

So you’re not just plastering walls for the sake of it. You produce a neat finish that’s immediately apparent. From preparation to the final touches: your craftsmanship determines the end result.

Who are you?

You are a skilled tradesperson who works with precision and has an eye for detail. You know that plastering is all about preparation, an understanding of materials and delivering a neat finish. You enjoy working with your hands and consider it important that your work looks immaculate.

You don’t necessarily need to have all the right qualifications. We consider experience, commitment and craftsmanship to be just as important. Perhaps you’ve been working as a plasterer for years. Perhaps you have a background in finishing works, renovation, painting, maintenance or general construction and would like to get involved in exciting projects in the region.

What’s important is that you can work independently, meet deadlines and treat materials, tools and the workplace with care. You think practically, sort out minor problems on site and deliver work you can be proud of.

For example, you might recognise yourself in the following:

  • You have experience as a plasterer, finishing worker, renovation worker or in a similar role.
  • You have experience with smooth plastering, rough plastering, decorative plastering, repair work or preparing surfaces for painting.
  • You can assess and prepare surfaces.
  • You have an eye for flat surfaces, angles, joints and finishes.
  • You work neatly, safely and as agreed.
  • You have a practical mindset and contribute ideas on site.
  • You can work independently, but you also work well as part of a team.
  • You are reliable, flexible and keep your word.
  • You should ideally hold a VCA certificate, or be willing to obtain one.
  • A Category B driving licence and your own transport would be an advantage.
  • You feel at home in the construction industry and speak the language of the trade.

Whether your main strengths lie in smooth plastering, renovation, new-build projects, repair work, decorative plastering or all-round finishing work: we’ll work with you to identify where your skills are best utilised.
