Are you a skilled tradesperson who enjoys varied work and isn’t put off by tackling different jobs in a single day? Someone who can work independently on the road, carries out their work to a high standard and quickly identifies what needs to be done? Then this role is perfect for you as Building Management Service and Maintenance Assistant suit you well.

We are looking for a practical and reliable tradesperson to carry out service and maintenance work on buildings for a client in the Limburg region. In this role, you will carry out a variety of tasks within existing buildings, homes, commercial premises or property development projects. This includes minor structural repairs, maintenance, repairs, tenancy change-over work and resolving practical issues on site.

No two days are the same. One day you might be repairing a door, fitting locks and hinges, or carrying out minor carpentry work. The next day you might be sorting out a leak, repairing tiles, doing finishing work, or tackling a general maintenance job. You actually enjoy the fact that your work is varied and that you can apply your craftsmanship in a range of different ways.

As a service and maintenance worker, you’re often the face of the company on site. You’ll be visiting residents, tenants, businesses or clients. That’s why it’s important that you’re not only handy, but also communicate clearly and come across as reliable. You understand that a job well done isn’t just about what you create, but also about how you leave things behind.

At Valento Jobs, we look beyond just your CV. Of course, experience is important, but what matters most to us is what you can actually do in practice. Are you resourceful, independent and someone a client can rely on? If so, we’d love to meet you.

What will you do?

As a service and maintenance assistant, you will carry out various maintenance and repair tasks as part of our facilities management team. You will work either independently or alongside colleagues, ensuring that jobs are carried out properly and safely.

Your duties will include:

  • Carrying out minor structural maintenance.
  • Repairing doors, window frames, walls, ceilings and woodwork.
  • Fitting or repairing locks and hinges.
  • Carrying out maintenance work on homes or buildings.
  • Resolving practical faults and defects on site.
  • Contributing ideas for neat and sustainable solutions.
  • Maintaining contact with residents, users or clients.
  • Ensure that the workplace is left clean, safe and tidy.

You’ll be working a lot in existing buildings. That means you need to be able to observe carefully, assess the situation and adapt. Sometimes a job is straightforward; other times it calls for creativity and experience. That’s exactly what makes this work so varied.

Who are you?

You are a hands-on tradesperson with experience in maintenance, renovation, carpentry, service work or general building management. You don’t need to have everything set out in writing, but you do need to know how to carry out your work neatly and independently.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in service, maintenance or renovation work.
  • It comes in handy for various construction tasks.
  • Is able to work independently and takes responsibility.
  • Communicates politely with residents, customers and colleagues.
  • Thinks in a solution-oriented way and acts pragmatically.
  • Holds a Category B driving licence.
  • Preferably has their own hand tools.
  • Preferably holds VCA certification, or is willing to obtain it through us.

Are you, for example, a carpenter, maintenance worker, handyman, building services engineer or all-round tradesperson? If so, this role could be a good fit for you.

Don’t have a perfect CV, but are you good with your hands and have practical experience? Then we’d love to hear from you too. At Valento Jobs, you apply on the strength of your skills, not just your qualifications.

What do you get?

You’ll take on a varied role within service and maintenance, offering you a great deal of independence and the opportunity to work at various locations in Limburg and the surrounding area. You’ll be joining a client where reliability, practical insight and high-quality workmanship are key.

You can count on:

  • A salary between €2,800 and €3,600 gross per month, depending on experience, level of autonomy and the client.
  • Terms and conditions of employment in accordance with the applicable collective labour agreement and the hirer’s remuneration scheme.
  • Varied work in the fields of facilities management, maintenance and renovation.
  • Projects and works in Limburg and the surrounding area.
  • An independent role with a great deal of responsibility.
  • The possibility of long-term employment subject to satisfactory performance.
  • Personalised support from Valento Jobs.
  • A dedicated point of contact who knows who you are and what you’re capable of.
  • Clear agreements on pay, the workplace and duties.
  • A job where your practical experience is genuinely valued.

Do you have extensive experience as an all-round maintenance technician and are you able to work independently on a range of different tasks? If so, a higher salary is negotiable, depending on the client and your experience.
