Job Description:

As a calculator/work planner Construction, you will be responsible for gathering relevant information by studying specifications and drawings. You extract materials, process, standardise and set prices. You also calculate indirect costs based on schedules and project organisation. Your duties also include requesting and assessing quotations, making price estimates and incorporating these into the budget. You attend meetings and carry out site surveys.

During the process, you report to the manager on the progress of the calculation in the interim. You are alert to critical points which you record for discussion. You devise creative alternatives to the specifications and ensure that the tender is ready on time. Making cost estimates based on sketches and performing cost price analyses are an important part of your work in order to contribute to efficient cost and materials documentation.

Together with your team, you fully master the specifications, request tenders, make price quotes and negotiate with suppliers. You base your work on Revit models and architectural drawings. You assist with contract variations and environmental management. Finally, you work closely with the project manager and supervisor, from award to completion.

This is you:

  • HBO working and thinking level or experience.
  • Several years of experience as a calculator/work planner in construction.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit.
  • Structured and communicative way of working.
  • Sharp analytical skills.
