Due to continued growth, we are looking for a (Financial) Controller. For this challenging role we are looking for a new colleague to join our team at the Back-Office. We are looking for an accurate and solution-oriented Controller who, together with the colleagues in the Back Office, can take responsibility for the financial administration of our companies.

Who are we?

We operate from the locations Sittard & Kerkrade and are operational throughout the Netherlands. Due to the growth of our organisation, we are looking for a new colleague to strengthen our current team!

What will you do?

  • Our organisation is growing, you will work as a (Financial) Controller within an experienced team of Back-Office employees. As an experienced (Financial) Controller you are responsible for the timely, correct and complete management of the financial administrations and the provision of periodic reports.In this role, your main responsibilities and tasks are:
    • Monthly reporting of the figures of the various business lines (construction, engineering, logistics and real estate) to the management;
    • You are responsible for the VAT and VPB declarations;
    • Drafting and monitoring of budgets and forecasts;
    • Support and implementation of the annual business plan and budget;
    • Managing colleagues of the financial and salary administration (concerns a group of 4 professionals);
    • Analysing financial and non-financial data;
    • Performance of yield analyses and post-calculations;
    • Initiate measures and initiatives including monitoring and adjustment;

    In addition, the following activities are also part of your duties:

    • Assessing and interpreting financial and non-financial data including translation to the business;
    • Making ad hoc analyses, implementing issues and supporting the realisation of the business strategy;
    • You are a business partner for management (and colleagues): that means supporting and advising on a tactical and strategic level;
    • Continuous optimisation of (financial) processes including control measures and compliance;
    • Drafting, testing and financially substantiating business cases at customers of Valento Jobs;
    • Involved in various internal financial projects;
    • Risk management.

Who are you?

  • You have a completed HBO education with a financial character;
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience;
  • Work experience at a temporary employment agency is an advantage;
  • You have knowledge of and/or interest in the legislation and regulations within the Flex sector (fiscal, financial-legal and labour law);
  • You have a good knowledge of financial applications and automation packages (within Valento we work with Exact online and/or Easyflex);
  • You have a proactive work attitude and are able to work carefully and independently as well as in a team;
  • You have good communication and writing skills;
  • You are stress resistant, practical and have a great sense of responsibility.
