As a mechanical mechanic, you will be part of an enthusiastic team and you will have a varied and challenging job where no two days are the same. You will be given a lot of freedom and responsibility to do your work independently and are expected to think along and show initiative in order to further improve the production processes.

What will you do?

As a mechanical mechanic, you are responsible for repair and maintenance work on the machines and installations. This includes the disassembly and overhaul of various parts and machining operations such as milling, turning and drilling. Also non-machining operations such as welding can occur in your range of tasks, however, experience with welding or machining is not a requirement. Other activities are:

  • Conversion, adjustment and testing of machines and installations;
  • Carrying out inspections;
  • Solving malfunctions in the production process;
  • Repairing parts of the machines.

You will work day shifts for 3 weeks, 1 week early shift and 1 week late shift. In the week that you work the late shift, you will also work on-call at the weekend and during the nights.

 

What do you bring?

As a mechanical mechanic, you like to contribute to the maintenance of the factory. You enjoy working with your colleagues and have a flexible attitude. Because of this, you are willing to work in the team and, if necessary, you will also work on breakdown shifts. Furthermore, you have the following qualities:

  • A completed MBO education in mechanical engineering or mechatronics;
  • Several years of work experience in a similar position within a production environment is a plus, although starters without experience may also apply!
  • You are a team player and have a down-to-earth attitude;
  • You are willing to follow professional courses.

What we offer

Valento is happy to enter into a long-term cooperation with you. If you perform well, after a year's contract you will be offered a permanent position. Other conditions are:

  • A basic salary depending on education and experience between €3050 and €3700 gross per month;
  • Travel allowance in accordance with the CLA;
  • A good pension scheme through the pension fund for the construction industry bpf;
  • 24 holiday days and 13 ADV days;
  • 8% holiday allowance;
  • 3% year-end bonus;
  • Supplements in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement and allowances for standby duty;
