Do you want to continuously develop and work in an environment with the latest production technologies, at a rate of up to 90,000 fills per hour? Do you want to be part of an in-house technical department and a healthy organisation that invests in people development? Then the position of Malfunction Mechanic at the Hoensbroek site, is your next step.

What will you do?

You are flexible and used to working in shifts, starting in 5 shifts. You will work in a team of about 15 fellow service engineers and report to the Technical Service Team Leader. You ensure that the production lines work optimally and the filling lines run continuously. You will therefore have experience in:

  • Analysing and troubleshooting all common mechanical, electrical and pneumatic failures of complete (PLC controlled) filling lines and associated peripheral equipment;
  • Performing breakdown services and assisting with technical maintenance;
  • Inspecting production equipment and assisting in (preventive) maintenance and overhaul work;
  • Support production staff in various tasks, including conversion and adjustment of production equipment;
  • Maintain technical documentation;
  • Assisting in the installation, conversion and adjustment of production lines, thinking along with improvement proposals and participating during the implementation of the proposals.
  • During busy or quiet periods, we expect a willingness to scale up/down to a 3/4/5-shift schedule.

Who are we looking for?

As a new colleague, you are someone who takes responsibility, is proactive and delivers quality. You have good communication skills, which means you can work correctly with colleagues and customers. Also, you possess:

  • MBO work and thinking level in the direction of mechanical/electrical/measurement and control engineering or similar;
  • Work experience in a similar position within a production-related environment;
  • Both mechanically and electrically well versed and demonstrable;
  • Good basic knowledge of PLC control techniques, knowledge of Siemens S7 is a big plus;
  • Persuasiveness, perseverance and problem-solving skills.

  • A market-based salary between €2,785.70 to €3,902.12 per month. Salary depends on experience, competences and education;
  • Shift allowance as per shift matrix, e.g. 5 shifts is 28%, a holiday allowance of 8%;fixed end-of-year allowance of 2%;
  • 25 holiday days;
  • Health insurance contribution;
  • Travel allowance.
