Scaffolding.

As a Scaffolder, you are responsible for erecting, modifying and dismantling scaffolding structures. You will work alongside colleagues on site and ensure that the work is carried out safely and to a high standard.

Depending on your experience and the client, your duties may include:

• Erecting and dismantling scaffolding.
• Modifying existing scaffolding structures.
• Moving, sorting and checking scaffolding equipment.
• Working on building sites, renovation projects or industrial sites.
• Working alongside fellow scaffolders, the foreman or the site manager.
• Ensuring a safe and tidy workplace.
• Reporting unsafe situations or damaged equipment.
• Work in accordance with safety regulations and work instructions.
• Assisting with the loading, unloading and preparation of materials.

So you’re not just building things. You ensure that others can work safely at height.

You are someone who enjoys physical work and doesn’t mind working outdoors. You enjoy working as part of a team, appreciate clarity and understand that safety is always the top priority in scaffolding.

You don’t need to know how to do everything just yet. Perhaps you’re already an experienced scaffolder. Perhaps you have experience in construction, assembly, industry or logistics and would like to learn the trade. If you’re motivated and committed to working safely, we’d be happy to consider you.

For example, you might recognise yourself in the following:

• You have experience as a scaffolder, assistant scaffolder, assembly worker or construction worker.
• You’re not afraid of heights.
• You’re physically fit and know how to get things done.
• You work safely, tidily and as agreed.
• You work well with your colleagues.
• You are reliable and arrive on time.
• VCA certification is an advantage, or you must be willing to obtain it.
• Certificates in scaffolding or working at height are a bonus.
• A Category B driving licence is useful, but not always compulsory.
• You feel right at home on a building site.
