Are you someone who enjoys working on-site, managing teams and ensuring that infrastructure projects are carried out on schedule, to the required quality standards and in accordance with health and safety regulations? We are looking for an Infrastructure Site Manager for various clients in the infrastructure sector.

Through Valento Jobs, you can connect with leading infrastructure companies and contractors in Limburg. These include regional contractors, family-run businesses, medium-sized infrastructure firms and larger organisations working on a wide range of projects in earthworks, road construction, sewerage, paving, civil engineering and land development.

Whether you already have experience as a site supervisor, are looking to progress from a foreman role, or have previously worked as a works planner, project coordinator or assistant foreman: we’d be happy to discuss the right next step for you.

What will you do?

As an Infrastructure Site Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day management of the project. You ensure that staff, equipment, materials and the schedule are all properly coordinated.

Depending on your experience and the client, your duties may include, amongst other things:

  • Managing teams, skilled workers, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Monitoring planning, progress, quality and safety.
  • Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the drawings, specifications and project agreements.
  • Coordinating with project managers, work planners, clients and implementation teams.
  • Check that materials, equipment and staff are available on time.
  • Identifying deviations, risks and bottlenecks within the project.
  • Contributing ideas for practical solutions during implementation.
  • Maintaining project records, daily reports and logs.
  • Checking the work carried out.
  • Monitoring additional and reduced work.
  • Ensuring safe working practices and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain contact with residents, local authorities, subcontractors or other relevant parties.
  • Ensuring clear communication between the office and the site.
  • Contributing to the smooth, safe and timely completion of projects.

So you’re not just managing people. You make sure the work gets done, that commitments are met and that everyone knows what needs to be done.

Who are you?

You’re someone who keeps a clear overview, communicates clearly and is confident and self-assured. You feel at home at work and know how to get people on board.

You don’t necessarily need to come from exactly the same role. Perhaps you’re currently a foreman, an assistant foreman or an experienced tradesperson and would like to progress to the role of site manager. Or perhaps you’re already a Civil Engineering Site Manager and are looking for a new environment with different projects, shorter lines of communication or greater responsibility.

For example, you might recognise yourself in the following:

  • You have experience of, or an interest in, infrastructure, civil engineering, groundworks, road construction, sewerage or paving.
  • You understand how infrastructure projects are carried out outdoors.
  • You can read drawings, specifications, schedules and work instructions, or you’d like to develop your skills in these areas.
  • You’ll be responsible for keeping track of staff, equipment, materials and scheduling.
  • You communicate clearly with tradespeople, subcontractors and colleagues.
  • You’re not afraid to make decisions and you speak to people when necessary.
  • You take a practical approach and look for solutions that work in the field.
  • You have a keen sense of safety, quality, planning and costs.
  • You can work with digital systems, project administration or reporting.
  • You feel at home in the construction and infrastructure sectors and speak the language of the trade.
  • A degree in civil engineering, infrastructure or construction would be an advantage.
  • Experience as a foreman, assistant foreman or work planner is a good foundation.

Whether your main strengths lie in leadership, planning, liaising with teams or solving practical problems at work: we’ll work together to identify where your strengths lie.
